(11.7.08) The Intoxicating Liquor Bill has been passed by The Seanad, despite passionate appeals from opposition parties to be able to properly debate the bill. No final amendments were made, with the government (at their bullish best) refusing to listen to all opposition parties, and indeed members of their own party on the matter. How soon the legislative changes relating to nightclubs will be implemented, is still slightly unclear. More updates on that soon.
