Callout to non-Dublin Nightclub promoters/staff |
(3.7.08) We are interested in hearing from more promoters, DJs or staff working within the nightclub industry, who live outside of Dublin. In particular, we would like to hear from articulate and level headed individuals, who would like to take a more active role in the Give Us The Night campaign in their own area. You can contact us through any of the contact details listed above, thank you.

Today's Demonstration |
(2.7.08) Thanks to everyone that came along to make today's demonstration a resounding success. With the positive public and media response, we are not ruling out the possibility of staging another one, if we have to. While summing up the current restrictions about to be placed on nightclubs, Dermot Ahern has said that this alcohol bill is there to combat underage drinking (Yes, we're baffled about that one too). More Give Us The Night updates to follow here soon.

Irish Times corrections |
(1.7.08) We would like to make it known that there were inconsistencies in today's Irish Times report on tomorrow's demonstration. We are not nightclub owners, therefore it is not nightclub owners protesting tomorrow, as the headline suggested. Obviously we are called Give Us The Night rather than the published 'Save Our Night' too. Lines such as "People who come here from Spain and places are gobsmacked at how early clubs close here." were also misquotes. We are glad that the message is out there, but disappointed that the journalist did not take more care in writing the story.
